Masala Beef Curry Recipe

Masala Beef Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg of beef, cut according to taste (I'm part of the shank, cut like pieces of rendang)
  • 100 ml coconut milk (I pack it)
  • 1-1.5 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 2 L of water
  • 1 tbsp oil for sauteing
  • 7 spring onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 5 large red chilies
  • 5 red bird's eye glasses
  • 1 knuckle of ginger
  • 2 little turmeric
  • 1 finger segment galangal
  • 2 candlenuts
  • (Toasted the spices below, before mashing with onions, etc.)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 3 cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lemongrass
  • 4 pieces of lime leaves
  • 4 cm Kayumanis
  • 2 flowers of lawang
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 tamarind eyes (may be kandis / gelugur)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Step to Cook 

  • Prepare materials. Marinate 20 minutes of beef with 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Saute ground spices, lemongrass and lime leaves. 
  • Add 1 teaspoon salt and a pinch of sugar. When it smells good, add the meat and the Worcestershire sauce. 
  • Stir it up. Enter water, cloves, cinnamon, tamarind and anise. Stir again, cover the pan until the water is reduced. If the meat is not yet tender, add water again, until it is reduced and the meat is tender (1 hour). Taste correction. 
  • Turn off the stove, add coconut milk and stir well. Lift.
  • Serve
