Meat and Potato Paratha Recipe


700 grams of flour, add 3 tablespoons for sprinkling
4 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tbsp margarine (original recipe not used)
1/3 teaspoon salt
300 gr ground beef
700th potato dr
2 carrots (optional)
1 curry leaf, take the leaves
1 aceang flower
1 grain of cardamom
1 cm cinnamon
3 cloves
1/3 tsp ground coriander
1/4 nutmeg, roasted, puree
1/2 teaspoon fennel, roasted, puree
1 tsp curry powder
1 onion, sliced
4 garlic cloves, sliced
1 pack of instant coconut milk
1 liter of water
1 tablespoon margarine for sauteing
1 tbsp margarine to spread the bread after it's cooked

Step to Cook

  • First, make paratha dough first. Combine the salt flour and oil, stir then add water little by little until the dough is combined. The use of water is adjusted, yes, because it could be less or more. But stop when the dough is combined / can be rounded with a slightly hard texture. After that, enter the margarine, knead again until the dough is not sticky. Let stand for 1 hour, cover with plastic
  • Now let's make the meat potato curry. Cut potato carrots, set aside. Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of margarine then saute the curry leaves until fragrant then add the sliced ​​onions. Saute until the onions are wilted. Then add the crushed spices, cardamom, cinnamon, anise, cloves, coriander powder. Saute until fragrant then add the potatoes and carrots.
  • Stir the potatoes and add water, salt, seasoning powder, curry powder, mix well. Cook until the water boils.
  • After boiling, add ground beef, cook until the meat is cooked and the potatoes are tender. NOTE: ground beef should be added to the dish in a rounded state like a burger patty. The reason is that the meat is not crushed and the cookopader has no trouble separating the meat from the curry sauce.
  • After the meat is cooked and the potatoes are soft, add the coconut milk, cook again until the coconut milk is cooked and the oil has come out, correct the taste, then turn off the heat. Separate the potato carrots and curry broth. Set aside the curry sauce. I didn't give this curry sauce at all, because my child will eat it. He can't be spicy at all
  • Puree the carrots and meat, can use a food processor or knead like me, the important thing is that the potatoes and meat are smooth / mashed like mashed potatoes.
  • After 1 hour, divide the paratha dough into 16 portions. Sprinkle a little flour on the cutting board / work table, then grind 1 part of the dough until it's thin, set aside. Take 1 more part, grind it until it is thin until the size of the curl is the same as the first dough mill.
  • Take 1-2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes then spread it over the paratha dough that has been ground. Then cover with the bread dough that was first ground td. Lock the edges of the two doughs by pressing the edges of the dough until the edges of the two dough are combined
  • If you want spicy bread, you can put the chili slices on top of the mashed potatoes that have been smeared on top of the bread dough, cover again with another dough that has been ground
  • Heat a frying pan skillet over medium low heat. Bake the bread dough, turning it over when the bottom of the bread is browned. Lightly spread margarine on each side of the baked dough.
  • Serve paratha bread with curry sauce left over from cooking potatoes as a dip. Enjoy
